Artist Statement

My work is strongly driven by my interest in human interactivity and the materiality of objects seen in our daily lives that go unnoticed. Using various technologies from textiles, installation techniques, and digital media, I wish to create an experience where visitors may become involved in the artmaking process. In taking the ordinary moments in our lives, I hope to relight these experiences and turn them into the sublime.

My installation works, which sit still in an unoccupied room, become activated once interrupted by movement and human life. This interaction plays a critical role in the research of my work, in which I am exploring the idea of impermanence and time, allowing viewers of my work to contemplate these notions alongside with me through my process.
